In recent years, mining in high altitude regions, such as salt flats for the extraction of lithium, metals, or rare earths has an exponential growth, based on the demand for technologies for renewable energy generation, energy storage, electromobility and telecommunications. A BESS can operate independently of the grid transmission line and supply power for as long as needed, from minutes to hours.
